Preheat the oven for 160 C fan forced. Line a loaf tin. Shift plain flour with baking powder and set it aside. Whisk eggs, oil and sugar in a separate bowl until light and pale. Add tea syrup and milk. Mix them well. Now gradually add the shifted plain flour and crushed cardamons.
Pour the 1/4 of the batter in to the loaf tine. Arrange three pears on the batter and gently pour the remaining batter to cover the pear. Bake them for 30 minutes in a preheated oven until top is nice and golden.
