Baking for me is undoubtedly my own form of mindfulness and meditation. Not only that it adds an extra sense of pleasure seeing my bakes often making the glorious outcomes. Many of my recipes here are basically adapted and tweaked with my own imaginations. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I do. This particular cardamom poached pear chai cake was a stunner. A mild cake with delicate flavours of cardamom just made our weekend extra special. I have to tell you that sourcing high quality cardamom was the magic behind this cake.
As we are heading towards the end of the year, I feel slightly crazy with few more goals remaining to accomplish. Well I am trying to make my story larger than life itself., life is crazy with the endless To Do lists but at the same time is a beautiful piece of modern art, I have decided to take more risk, abandon my comfortable soft cushion, I have made a promise to explore, learn, love and grow…Let’s hope for the best and believe that dream will be manifested.
Right now glorious spring season has blessed us with amazing blue skies. The much welcomed occasional downpours to moderate the summer temperatures and absolutely stunning greenery. This is the best time for us to make the most of our backyard and I always feel elated to see my boys making generous use of the backyard and hanging out not fearing the sun’s glare. With varieties of produce available in the supermarket, I feel my brain is inundated with loads of ideas to make the most of out it.
I promise to share those in this beautiful space of mine and now let’s head on to celebrate this gorgeous month with a stunning cardamom poached pear chai cake. If you fancy pear, then this caramelised pear upsidedown cake is also amazing too.
