There’s something throughly magical about these French buttery cakes that is crispy on the edges with soft sponginess as you bit into it. Madeleines are typically baked in a scalloped shaped shell tin and these elegantly looking lemon madeleines cakes are one of the perfect thing to have with a cup of light floral French tea.
Last couple of weeks has been insanely busy for me in terms of back to back shoot and styling assignments. I love the rhythm and the continuous flow of the last quarter. I am sure with less than 10 weeks to go before Christmas, things will be crazy and exciting.
Diversification is what I have been hearing up these days and that’s is absolutely true in term of the business growth. Having said that I am still not sure whether I am ready to step into any other zone other than food photography. I believe that good pictures are easy to craft but to create high quality great pictures, I have to dive deeper and this where I want to see myself.
So thinking of spreading my wings into different zone of photography will requires a great deal of practice and knowledge too. Well, one thing that make me happy is that I am interested both in styling and photography. So that works well in terms of diversifying my services. Styling assignments makes me excited too because I can purely focus on preparation and sourcing of ingredients plus creating visual mood board in depth. That gives me enough confidence to style the set and leaving the rest to a talented photographer. Here is the glimpse of my latest styling assignment.
With all that happening and boys enjoying their spring break, I couldn’t let it go without baking something special for them. This lemon Madeleines were just perfect and left over beetroot glaze from my previous blog post made it extra special.
