I find it hard to believe that we are already in the third quarter, and as again time seems to be in a rush to get to the end of the year, perhaps in the anticipation that the festive season would bring in the much needed cheer.
Time really flies on the wings of haste and that saying is so true. I have been reminding my boys that they just need a few more months of effort to get their results that would make them proud of themselves & make everybody around happy and get everyone in the perfect frame of mood to celebrate.
Now that the boys are back at school after a well-deserved winter break and I do not have to play the “mommy me” all 24 hours it is a great time for me to get back to work.
Lately I have been keeping busy with clients work and a few personal projects of my own. These personal projects in terms of photography and styling really helps to strengthen my skills and hone them. Last year, some of you might know that I had enrolled in an online course to notch up my composition and editing skills. I can wager that the course has really helped me to achieve the results I aimed for. If you love what you, see in my work & the transformation over the timeline breadcrumb journey of my blog posts. Do not forget to check those links. Those lessons are a real game changer.
Our lives, our passion, our story is built brick by brick and is an endless journey that should continue in the desire to improve and get better but should not be frivolously spent looking for perfection, or the ideal. This leads to frustration, burnout & misery so this quote by Robin Sharma is quite apt & befitting and helps me become more grounded in reality.
“Stop being so hard on yourself. You’re human. We each have our gifts and our flaws. Our hopes and our fears. You and I are work in progress. Celebrate who you have become. Moreover, honour the progress you’ve made [instead of demanding perfection].”
Coming to this gorgeous and yet simple treat, it is just amazing biting the flaky pastry loaded with the goodness of luscious berries. Once the boys are back at school, I have time to think and figure out some healthy and delicious after school snacks. I know the puff pastry are not the best in terms of health rating but I guess loading them with berries makes them an ideal treat for my boys. I have used frozen berries, few fresh strawberries, and an apple to give a lovely texture to the compote.
Trust me this is just amazing and with ice cream it tastes like a slice of heaven...
Let me know if you have given it a go..
